The body, drawn straight from the 2021 Concept XM, makes its statement before the engine fires: towering vertical kidneys, razor-sharp lighting signatures, sculpted flanks that telegraph serious intent. Beneath the bonnet sits the 3.0-litre TwinPower Turbo inline-six (B58), paired with an electric motor to deliver a combined 476 PS (350 kW) and 700 Nm of torque, channelled through M xDrive to all four wheels. The sprint to 100 km/h takes just 5.4 seconds — remarkable for a machine of this scale.
The 8-speed M Steptronic handles every shift with precision, while the interior wraps you in M-sport ergonomics and genuine luxury: ambient lighting, panoramic roof and bolstered seats that hold firm when you press on.
The XM 50e is not an SUV trying to be fast. It is an M car that became an SUV.
